German Township is one of the twelve townships of Fulton County, 俄亥俄州, 美國. The 2000 census found 6,458 people in the township, 2,168 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3]
地理
[編輯]Located in the southwestern corner of the county, 與以下鎮區接壤:
- Franklin Township - 北
- Dover Township - 北east corner
- Clinton Township - 東
- Freedom Township, Henry County - 東南 corner
- Ridgeville Township, Henry County - 南
- Springfield Township, Williams County - 南west
- Brady Township, Williams County - 西
The village of Archbold is located in southern German Township.
The fake town of Beatosu was inserted into the 1978-79 Michigan state map in the township as a joke.
Name and history
[編輯]It is one of five German Townships statewide.[4]
Built in the 1860s and 1870s, the Goll Homestead in the township's northwest is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[5]
政府
[編輯]鎮區有3人組成的理事會管理。理事會理事選舉在奇數年11月舉行,並在來年1月1日開始四年任期。兩名理事的選舉在總統選舉後一年舉行,另一名的選舉在總統選舉前一年舉行。鎮區財務官亦由選舉產生[6],與一名鎮區理事選舉同時舉行,不過在來年4月1日才開始四年任期。若財務官或理事職位有空缺,將由剩餘理事填補。
