Hilliar Township is one of the twenty-two townships of Knox County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2000 census found 3,080 people in the township, 1,648 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3]

[编辑]Located in the southwestern corner of the county, 与以下镇区接壤:

- Liberty Township - 北east corner
- Milford Township - 东
- Bennington Township, Licking County - 东南 corner
- Hartford Township, Licking County - 南
- Trenton Township, Delaware County - 南west corner
- Porter Township, Delaware County - 西
- Bennington Township, Morrow County - 北west corner
The village of Centerburg is located in central Hilliar Township.
The farthest west township in Knox County, it is the only township that borders Delaware County.
Name and history
[编辑]Hilliar Township was established in 1818. It was named for Dr. Richard Hilliar, a pioneer settler and landowner.[4]
It is the only Hilliar Township statewide.[5]
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行,并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行,另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[6],与一名镇区理事选举同时举行,不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺,将由剩余理事填补。
