Red Hat Enterprise Linux是Red Hat公司的LINUX發行版，面向商業市場，包括大型電腦。紅帽公司對企業版LINUX的每個版本提供7年的支援。Red Hat Enterprise Linux常簡作RHEL，雖然Red Hat公司現在並不鼓勵這樣做。

Red Hat Enterprise Linux每18-24個月發佈一個新版本。

基於

最初，基於Red Hat公司的Red Hat Enterprise Linux基於Red Hat Linux，但使用較為保守的發佈週期。後來版本都是基於Fedora。大約每第三個版本的Fedora才會有一個新版本的Red Hat Enterprise Linux發佈，因此：

• Red Hat Linux 6.2 → Red Hat Linux 6.2E
• Red Hat Linux 7.2 → Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1
• Red Hat Linux 9 → Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3
• Fedora Core 3 → Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
• Fedora Core 6 → Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
• Fedora 12 → Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
