維基百科簡繁轉換及地區詞轉換的功能，正常情況下，會根據用戶的選擇顯示簡體中文或是繁體中文，詞彙也會根據用戶的選擇顯示為港澳用語、台灣用語或是大陸用語。因此，除非是系統出現一些不能正確轉換的情況，否則，一般情況下，內文的用字應該遵循先到先得的原則。也就是說，如果系統能夠正常轉換的話，維基百科的規則是不允許對其中的用字人工的進行簡單的簡繁/地區詞修改的。
如果確實存在系統不能正常進行轉換的情況下，請使用簡繁轉換標籤，具體的用法是：

《維基百科政策簡報》政策異動通知
[編輯]我們非常重視使用者對於接受《維基百科政策簡報》的感受，在2017年12月號（創刊號）的發送後，我們注意到一些使用者對於簡報的發送感到不適，對此我們感到萬分遺憾，並且已於第一時間自相關清單中移除不願繼續收受簡報發送的使用者。經過編撰小組審慎地評估與考量，我們決定在2018年1月號中取消對於引發一些使用者不適的List B的發送工作，為了在政策異動下維護您的權益，我們藉由此則訊息向您通知相關政策異動；如您希望繼續藉由《維基百科政策簡報》掌握中文維基百科之管理人員及方針指引變動，您可以將自己加入一份全新的專屬清單以保持對於《維基百科政策簡報》的訂閱。
