2015年5月7日，皇家加勒比海宣布從邁爾造船公司（英語：Meyer Werft）訂購第四艘量子級遊輪（英語：Quantum-class cruise ship），預定於2019年服役。 [3] 2017年8月16日，該郵輪正式命名為海洋光譜號 。 [4] 該船將在中國市場銷售，並提供專門為亞太地區設計的住宿和服務。 [5] [6]

施工

剪鋼儀式於2017年8月16日舉行[4] ，鋪放龍骨（英語：Keel laying）儀式於2017年11月8日舉行。 [7] 海洋光譜號於2019年2月25日從邁爾造船公司（英語：Meyer Werft）的帕彭堡（Papenburg）船廠下水（英語：Float-out）。 [8] 該船於2019年3月20日開始從埃姆斯河出發前往北海試航，並於次日成功抵達埃姆斯哈文（英語：Eemshaven）。 [9]

交付

海洋光譜號於2019年4月11日在不來梅港正式交付給皇家加勒比。 [10] 2019年4月18日， 海洋光譜號從巴塞羅那出發前往新加坡開啟處女航程，此後進行了兩次短途航行[11] ，2019年6月3日，海洋光譜號抵達中國上海吳淞口國際郵輪港，黃小明和Angelababy出席海洋光譜號命名儀式。 [12][13]此後， 海洋光譜號就一直以上海為母港，並將全年在上海和東亞各港口之間航行。
