西奧多·科尼斯（Theodore Coneys，1882年11月10日—1967年5月16日）出生於伊利諾伊州彼得斯堡，父親托馬斯·H·科尼斯是加拿大移民，在彼得斯堡擁有一家五金店，母親伊莎貝拉·埃拉姆。 1888年老科尼斯去世後， [3]科尼斯夫人和她的兒子搬到了威斯康星州伯洛伊特附近的一個農場，然後於1907年搬到了科羅拉多州丹佛市， [4]在那裡她在丹佛民主黨俱樂部擔任管家。 [5]
