宗教事務與文化部（緬甸語：သာသနာရေးနှင့်ယဉ်ကျေးမှုဝန်ကြီးဌာန）負責管理緬甸的宗教事務，文化事務以及歷史和考古研究工作。宗教事務司淨化、延續、弘揚、宣傳上座部佛教大乘，弘揚緬甸傳統習俗和文化。
歷史
[編輯]文化部成立於1952年3月16日，當時名為聯合文化部，後來於1972年3月15日改名為文化部。
宗教事務部是在緬甸聯邦（現稱緬甸聯邦共和國）1947年恢復獨立之前成立的。1962年3月2日，聯邦革命委員會政府改組了所有部委。宗教事務部成為內政和宗教事務部的一個部門。1988年9月18日，國家和平與發展委員會成立了促進和宣傳薩滿教的部門，也隸屬於內政和宗教事務部。1992年3月20日，內政部和宗教事務部分離。1998年6月26日的一次內閣會議確認，國際上座部佛教弘法大學將在MORA下成立。
