看到各位的讨论，我忍不住参与进来。关于新华社是否可靠这个问题，我作为一名中国的国民及维基的用户，我觉得我在这个问题上我很有发言权。
在座讨论的各位可能对我们这个国家的媒体有些陌生甚至不好的看法。在这一方面，我想告诉在座的各位，中国媒体在新闻自由度上面对比西方各国是不高，但在真实性及有效性上是不用怀疑的。从历史上，新华社是一间历史悠久的官方媒体，新华社在1940年开启国际事务，至今已面向大众80年。即使评价有好有坏，但每间新闻媒体不是都能令每一个人都满意。但它至今仍存在就已经能说明，它有自己的价值。
新华社是可能被有些人认为是政府的宣传媒介，但是新华社同时作为官方媒体背负了中国的形象，发布的新闻及消息要能为中国的形象负责。我觉得新华社有做到发布有效的新闻消息。
所以，新华社被有些人认为是中国政府的宣传渠道，这一点，我只能说每个人都有自己的看法。但新华社发布的新闻和消息是真实且有效的。上面的几位维基百科用户也举出了新华社与各其他国际知名媒体的合作及受到的赞扬，所以我也不在这举出了。但足以可见新华社在国际上是有认受性，是可以使用的可靠有效来源。
我虽然不能代表谁，但是我也关注新闻，关注身边发生的事。在中文维基百科上编辑条目我们也一样需要提供可靠的来源。在编辑上我一直都很乐意使用新华社作为我的参考来源。至少我认为是有效的。-WiokTALK‧1000+ 2020年12月18日 (五) 14:35 (UTC)
