03/10/2023 A seguito del grave incidente stradale verificatosi questa sera a Mestre il sindaco di Venezia Luigi Brugnaro ha disposto da oggi il lutto cittadino. “Un’immane tragedia ha colpito questa sera la nostra comunità. Ho disposto da subito il lutto cittadino, in memoria delle numerose vittime che erano nell’autobus caduto. Una scena apocalittica, non ci sono parole”.English: On 3 October 2023, a bus crashed and fell from an overpass in Mestre, Italy causing 21 deaths and 18 injuries. The incident happened at about 19:45 (17:45 GMT) as the bus was transporting tourists from downtown Venice to a campsite in the Marghera district. The bus broke through the barrier of a flyover[2] of a road that leading from Mestre to Marghera and the A57 motorway,fell for about 15 metres (50 feet) and landed flipped near tracks of Venezia Mestre railway station, and then caught fire. |
